Dissertation | Elizabeth Caldéron Lüning

As a political scientist, Elizabeth Calderón Lüning’s doctoral project examines democratic negotiation processes in the political field of digitization using the Berlin Digital Strategy as an example. She focuses on the extent to which aspects of digital sovereignty can be found in policy-making of this type of strategy.

With a thorough analysis of the policy-making process (possibly) leading up to the Berlin Digital Strategy, in direct connection with an interventionist approach creating multi-stakeholder discourse accompanying the process, her dissertation research wants to contribute to the literature on the digital policy field and anchor this research in the discourse of digital sovereignty.
