Kiez Digital was conceived as a prototype for a self-organized and locally situated space to discuss, learn and experiment with possible digital futures. Over a period of one year, workshops, discussion events and networking formats were created on topics such as civic technology, digital economy and urban development, alternative technologies for neighborhood initiatives and labour in the tech industry. The project will result in a documentation describing possible locally anchored learning spaces for competence development and politicization of digital technology.
